The problem
You're good at most parts of your life. Work is solid. You have real friendships. Then you open a dating app and suddenly none of that competence transfers.
You've been in relationships, maybe a serious one, maybe a marriage. You know what love feels like. And yet here you are again, drawn to the same kind of person, replaying a version of something you've already lived through, wondering what's wrong with you.
Maybe you've done therapy. Read the books. Taken the quiz that tells you your attachment style. You can name the pattern in your sleep.
And it's still happening.
It’s not a lack of self-awareness. It's a gap in your education and implementation. Nobody taught most of us how relationships actually work, not in any real, structured way. We picked it up by watching the adults around us, absorbing rules and roles and ways of connecting that we never consciously chose. And now we're running that old wiring in every new relationship we try to build.
The ReframeHere's what's actually going on.
Your brain is a prediction machine. Every relationship you've had has trained it to expect a particular kind of romantic interaction: a certain emotional temperature, a certain push and pull. When someone's nervous system matches that pattern, your body lights up and calls it chemistry.
It's not fate. It's familiarity.
And familiarity can be rewired. But insight alone doesn't do it. You need structured work, real practice, and a community of people who are in it with you, not just nodding along to the same podcast.

"The 5 Patterns That Keep Smart People Stuck in the Same Relationships"
Jen breaks down the five most common relational patterns she sees in her clinical practice — what they look like, where they come from, and what it actually takes to shift them.
It's free. It's the kind of thing people forward to their therapist.
The Relationship Lab is a community for people who are single, dating or newly in a relationship, who want to understand themselves better, build healthier relationship skills, and create more intentional, connected relationships.
There are two ways to be part of it.
Join the Community
Come for the conversations, connection, live coaching, practical tools, and ongoing opportunities to learn and grow. You don’t need to commit to a program or have everything figured out. You can simply join the Lab and be part of a community of people who want to do relationships differently.
The Lab includes:
monthly live Office Hours and Q&A with Jen
monthly guided practice experiments
community discussions
practical relationship tools and exercises
curated resources and recommended learning
opportunities to ask questions and get feedback
and connection with others who are doing the same work
Join the 6-Month Learning Cohort
For members who want to go deeper, the Learning Cohort offers a structured six-month experience that builds month by month. It brings together Adult Attachment Theory, Adlerian Psychology, Lisa Feldman Barrett’s work on how the brain constructs emotion, the Gottmans’ relationship research, Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Jen’s Functional Psychology framework into one practical path for change.
The Cohort includes full membership in The Relationship Lab Community.

The Cohort Curriculum
You're not broken. You're predictable.
Why your dating life looks the way it does, and what's actually running it. This month you stop asking "what's wrong with me" and start asking "what's running me."
Meet your Cast.
You don't show up to dates as one unified person. You show up as a whole cast of inner characters — parts of you that formed in your family, long before you had any say and potentially several others you’ve developed along the way. This month you name them and start learning to lead them instead of being led.
Your body knows before you do.
The truth about chemistry: what it is, what it isn't, and why you keep being drawn to people who aren't good for you while feeling nothing for people who might actually be. Learning to read your body's signals before you rationalize them away.
The stories you tell.
Projection. Fantasy. The gap between who someone is and who we've decided they are. This month is about learning to see what's actually in front of you.
Becoming a secure partner.
You can't build something with someone if you don't know what secure functioning actually looks like in practice, and first, with yourself. Bids for connection. Repair. Boundaries that come from care, not punishment. The inner work starts showing up in how you actually behave.
Choosing, pacing, and the long game.
How to move into something new without losing yourself in it. How to tell the difference between compatibility and chemistry. How to be okay while you wait for the right thing.
What’s INCLUDED
HOW IT WORKS
Two live coaching calls a month with Jen
Ninety minutes each. Teaching, real-time group coaching, honest conversation. Every call is recorded.
Monthly practice dyads
Each month you're paired with a different member of your cohort for a structured one-on-one conversation built around that month's material. Over six months, you practice with five different people. This is what makes it a lab and not just a course you watch alone.
A community that swims toward the solution
Most online spaces for single people are a slow spiral — the bad date stories, the screenshots, the collective frustration with a dating pool nobody can change. The Lab is the opposite. Members share what's working, what they're learning, what they're noticing. That tone is set intentionally and held consistently.
Curriculum you keep
The clinical frameworks, reflection prompts, and tools Jen uses with private clients, organized month by month and yours permanently.
COMMUNITYThe Lab doesn't end when the call does.
Between live sessions, members connect inside our private community on Circle — a space that is nothing like social media and everything like a room full of people who get it.
Cohort members have their own private space within the community where you'll find the monthly discussion threads, your dyad partner for the month, resources Jen drops between calls, and members processing what they're noticing in real time.
It's not a Facebook group. It's a space built for this specific kind of work, and the quality of conversation reflects that.

About Jen, Who’s running thisI'm Jen Stowe — licensed psychotherapist, certified life coach, and someone who has spent over a decade in clinical practice working with individuals and couples on exactly this stuff.
I built the Lab for people looking for solutions to what feels like a broken dating system.
People ready to create the changes they are seeking. Private therapy is expensive and hard to find. Most group programs are either too surface-level or too clinical to actually use. And some of the deepest relational change I've seen in my career has happened not in a one-on-one office, but in community — when people witness each other doing the work.
I'll be direct with you inside the Lab. I won't let you spin. I'll hold the standard of the space, which means this is not a place to vent about the dating pool, generalize about the other gender, or perform growth without actually doing it.
If you want someone to agree that dating is terrible, I'm not your person. If you're ready to look honestly at your part in the pattern, I am.
The Pricing
Founding Cohort — Starting Late September 2026
This is the first time Jen is running this curriculum as a live six-month cohort. Founding members get a reduced rate; what they give back is their honest engagement and the lived experience that helps shape every cohort after this one.
$900 paid in full or$175/month for six months (total: $1,050)
Founding members keep this rate for any future cohort they want to join.
To put it in perspective: this is less than three private sessions with Jen, for six months of structured work, live coaching, practice, and material you keep forever.
Future cohorts are priced at $1,200 paid in full, or $225/month.
Frequently asked Questions
-
Therapy is treatment. The Lab is education and coaching. The focus is forward — building actual skills for doing relationships differently, not processing the past for its own sake. If you're already in therapy, the two work well alongside each other. If you're in active crisis, please get support first and come back when you're stable.
-
Probably some of it, but not the way you've seen it. Most inner work focuses on you as an individual. The Lab is specifically about you in relationship — different domain, different muscles. The way Jen pulls together attachment theory, parts work, neuroscience, and relational skill-building into something you can actually use is genuinely different from anything most people have encountered, no matter how much work they've done.
-
Honestly, some of the best work happens in the in-between. When you're not reacting to a current situation, you can build with a clearer head. Members who join while they're between relationships often see the sharpest results.
-
Everything is recorded. Show up live when you can — the real-time experience is different — but you won't fall behind if life gets in the way sometimes.
-
No. The Lab is open to adults of any gender or sexual orientation. The work applies regardless.
-
Complete Month One fully — both calls, the dyad, the material — and if it's not the right fit, Jen will refund the remaining five months. That's the only window. People who actually do the work don't leave.

Why this Exists
When Jen looks at her clients — smart, capable adults who keep finding themselves in the same painful dynamics — the common thread isn't that they're broken or unlucky. It's that they never got a real education in how relationships work.
Not in school. Not at home. They watched the adults around them muddle through, and they learned what they learned. And now they're trying to build the most important connections of their lives using instincts that were wired in long before they had any say.
The Lab exists to fill that gap. The frameworks are clinical. The community is real. And the work — the actual, uncomfortable, worthwhile work — is yours to do.
Founding cohort starts late September 2026.
8–12 spots. $900 to join.
